Headquartered in southern Germany, the company employs more than 10,000 people worldwide and operates in around 50 countries. Its products and solutions serve customers across industries including chemicals, energy, mining, oil & gas, water management, and manufacturing. As part of its continued strategic development, our client is seeking an exceptional executive to lead the global commercial agenda of its main product division. The position offers flexibility regarding the primary work location by mutual agreement. Regular international travel (approximately 60%) as well as frequent presence at the German headquarters are required.<\/div>
Responsibilities<\/div>
As Senior Vice President (f\/m\/d) Sales Excellence & Transformation, the role leads the transformation, performance and organizational effectiveness of the global sales frontend organization. Working closely with the Verticals and country organizations, the position aligns organizational coverage, headcount, sales capacity, capabilities, processes and execution standards with business priorities and sales targets. Customer ownership remains with the Verticals and field sales teams; the SVP Sales Excellence & Transformation acts as the strategic and organizational leader enabling customer-facing teams to perform successfully. More than a sales leadership role, this is a transformation mandate. The position is responsible for building an integrated operating model, strengthening organizational effectiveness, execution quality and data-driven performance management across all regions. By aligning organizational coverage and sales capacity, developing capabilities, simplifying processes and establishing consistent quality and execution standards, the role creates the foundation for sustainable growth while fostering a culture of ownership, accountability and execution. \n

The position leads a global organization of approximately 500 to 600 employees. It also serves as the designated deputy to the Division President. While formally positioned at the same organizational level as the Verticals, the role assumes an over-arching coordination responsibility across the Division. To ensure that the sales back office remains aligned with customer requirements, the SVP maintains selected senior-level customer contact and forms part of the customer escalation process. Direct customer involvement is limited to critical issues and strategically important contract negotiations; the role does not assume day-to-day operational customer management. Within its mandate, the position sets consistent standards and drives their implementation across the organization.<\/div>
Profile<\/div>
The ideal candidate is an experienced senior executive with a degree in Business Administration, Engineering or a related discipline and a strong background in global sales organizations, sales operations, organizational effectiveness or comparable leadership roles in an international industrial environment. Proven experience in transforming complex organizations, designing or redesigning sales operating models and steering resources, capabilities and performance is essential. Expertise in change management, process simplification, quality management and capability development is particularly important.<\/div>
