Our current market observation as an experienced executive search consultancy clearly shows that traditional incentives such as salary and title are no longer enough to attract &#8211; let alone retain &#8211; the best minds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Value-oriented leadership: Purpose beats prestige<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The new generation of managers &#8211; and increasingly also experienced executives &#8211; are attaching ever greater importance to the values and corporate culture of an employer. It is no longer just about what a company does, but above all about what it stands for.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Top people are specifically looking for companies whose purpose is in line with their personal convictions. Flexible working models are now a must for many managers &#8211; regardless of industry or position. Hybrid working \/ home office days are taken for granted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>But flexibility today means more than just being able to choose where to work. Trust, autonomous decision-making and a healthy work-life integration are also at the top of the wish list. Employers who do not offer clear, flexible structures are quickly perceived as unattractive in executive search &#8211; regardless of the salary package.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Personal and professional development as the key<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>is often forgotten, especially at senior management level: Experienced managers also want to develop themselves further. The idea that top executives are \u201cfully trained\u201d is long outdated.
