On March 13, 2024 – for the first time in Berlin – the semi-annual professional association meeting of the executive search industry took place, at which a wide range of topics that shape the industry were discussed. Our Managing Director Mario Dänekas also took the opportunity to engage in a lively exchange with colleagues from all over Germany.
One of the main topics was the current situation in the executive search consulting industry, presented by the results of the business climate survey for the fourth quarter. This provided valuable insights into the current challenges and opportunities for executive search consultancies.
The current challenges facing the industry were discussed in an interactive discussion. In particular, the impact of start-ups on the recruitment market was highlighted and there was a controversial discussion on how they may have changed the landscape of executive search consultancies.
Another focus was on the practical use of AI chatbots in day-to-day business. Experts shared their experiences and insights on how this technology can improve the efficiency and quality of executive search consulting.
The meeting also included the presentation and discussion of the new draft of the BDU quality standards and individual model clauses for executive search consultancies. This underlines the industry’s efforts to maintain high quality standards and offer professional services.
One innovative topic that attracted a lot of attention was the use of TikTok as an employer branding channel. The discussion centered on how companies can use this platform to strengthen their employer brand and attract talent.
Overall, the professional association meeting was once again an important place for exchange and reflection on current developments in the recruitment industry. The discussions and presentations provided valuable insights and impetus for the future of the industry.
